Online Armor Free Firewall V3.5 from Tall Emu is a free firewall download which protects your inbound connections and outbound connections, stops unknown programs from running and detects keyloggers - plus lots more.

A good firewall is an essential program for internet security and this one achieves the highest results in leak tests and gives superb protection at no cost.

This is a full security system for your computer, but has been designed with a simple easy to use interface offering 100% leak protection right out of the box. Simple to install, setup and use, powerful, free and with no annoying reminders or popups.

This program has powerful functions which give you the ability to stop all unrecognised programs from running unless you permit them, making it possible to protect yourself against new attacks. Of course, programs that are recognised by Online Armor as safe will be allowed to run.

This works differently to an antivirus program which will let any program run, unless it has a known virus contained within its database, otherwise your antivirus will completely ignore programs it does not recognise which opens you up to infection.

During the installation you will be prompted for a valid email address for registration purposes but this is not an essential requirement, and there is an excellent forum and also a comprehensive Online Help page with relevant links to assist you.

Please keep your internet connection live while installing and uninstall any firewall that you currently have installedand enable the Windows Firewall.

Once Online Armor is installed you can then safely disable the Windows Firewall.

System Requirements:
Windows 2000/XP/2003 Server/Vista 32 bit

Known Problems:
Having used this on XP I have had no problems whatsoever. Having installed it on Vista 32bit, it was fine at first but upon reboot the screen was black and would not load the OS. This has happened on a few machines that I am aware of and it appears that although Tall Emu state that it will run on Vista 32bit machines that it is NOT fully compatible at this time and I would recommend that if you are using Vista do NOT install Online Armor.

If using any Norton programs go here and select the uninstallation tool corresponding to your installed product.

The Norton Removal Tool uninstalls all Norton 2008/2007/2006/2005/2004/2003 products and Norton 360 from your computer.

If you use ACT! or WinFAX, back up those databases before you proceed.

After installation and removal of prior installations, clean your Registry which will remove any stray entries left behind.
