Fake Antivirus Scanners Part 1 – How They Operate

This is the first in a series of videos showing how these fake antivirus programs work and the following videos will show the removal programs and what you can do to protect yourself.

So you come across one of the fake program sites which will not allow you to exit unless you download their malware to your computer. This video will show you how to avoid downloading and becoming infected with this malware.

This malware leads to your browser being redirected, annoying popups and in some cases System Restore is disabled as is Task Manager, the Desktop changes and Icons are missing, Folders are renamed and many other problems.
