Paragon Drive Backup – Free Program

Paragon Drive Backup Express is a free program which allows users to copy the whole of their operating system along with all updates, patches, program files and user settings, so when something goes wrong such as a malware infection that cannot be removed or a program or driver is installed that prevents normal operation, using this program will save hours of work.

No need to format, reinstall programs, updated driver, windows patches etc.

When this program is installed the first step is to use the Media Recovery Builder. This can be installed on a usb drive or burnt to CD/DVD ready for use. The Emulator will create an iso image in the Paragon program folder, but you must ensure that you have created a copy either on CD/DVD or bootable usb flash drive.

Once this has been completed you can then proceed to copy you PC’s settings from any partition that you may have. The obvious choice for most users and most important will be the C Drive that contains the Operating System, updates, programs and all your other settings.

The time taken will depend upon how much data is on the drive, but this will be a smart move as it creates an identical copy. Wizards guide you through each part of the process, from selecting the drive to copy and then selecting the destination for the archive folder.

It is preferable to store the archive on an external drive, so if your hard drive needs to be replaced you can simply reinstall everything as it was.

Once the backup image has been created it is of benefit to use the ‘Check Archive Validity’ which will scan the newly created image for any errors.

When you need to reinstall your system due to system crash, data loss, corruption or any other reason, simply boot from the usb flash drive, CD/DVD or you may be able to boot into Safe Mode and open Paragon Drive Backup and click on ‘Restore Disk or Partition’.

Simple, straightforward and easy to use so that anyone can use it no matter what level of experience you have allowing users to recover on demand.
