Moving Host
Posted Under: Free PC Security
Due to the appalling treatment from my previous host who suspended my account as my site was apparently using too much CPU, I am in the process of shifting everything to BlueHost.
I find it hard to believe that my site and account was suspended without any prior warning so I now have quite a bit of catching up to do and I hope to be back to normal soon with all articles, links etc all in place.
So Free PC Security has not disappeared, I am simply updating on a new host and also do a bit of cleaning out at the same time
Update January 10:
Most of my backup files were corrupted and the backup file from my previous host is completely unusable, so it will take a while to add previous articles.
I have added the List of Malicious Sites and the List of Rogue Software

Chris - Thank you. The whole situation is a bit ridiculous and it seems that I have quite a bit of work to retrieve everything and get it back into place
Cod Head - Thank you my friend
By the Heck Colin, you don't let the grass grow beneath your feet.I expected you to be up and running in a few days. Now your site is looking as good as new.Good on you.And all the best with Bluehost.
I think you are becoming so popular you will need to own your own search engine to keep up with the bandwidth. Not Bing but Cotojo.Go with Cotojo has a certain ring LOL.I had better get going before I get going LOL.
Cod Head
Cod Head - No time to waste lol and plenty to be done with sorting all of the posts which will take a bit of time but I'll get there
Your site is looking good as new now and good job with the moving.
Hmm looking at the Bluehost CEO Blog, it looks like Bluehost doesn't suspend/ban users for High CPU usage anymore according to this post.
Keep up the great work,
Brian
Sorry to hear about your troubles and glad to see that you have not vanished.
Any problems with this lot and we will have to get out the red paint LOL.
Since you are a protector of internet users in educating them and keeping them safe You should be provided with highly discounted hosting and as much bandwidth as you want. But then again I am biased. In a ideal world eh Colin.
Dont burn yourself out old friend.Cod head.
Brian - Thank you
Cod Head - I don't anticipate any problems here lol, they have been very helpful and quickly respond to my questions
Ethan - Thank you. It's one of those things to put down to experience and get on with it lol.
Hey Babe,
I was going to ask you a question about my computer, but I see you have enough of your own troubles to last you a while.
XOXO
Tammy
Tammy - Now what's wrong with your computer babe, what have you done to it this time lol.
I didn't do anything to it...honest! ;o)
It's just that it's super slow now and that Avast ball thing in the task bar at the bottom is always spinning...like almost constantly.
So....what did I do to it, or more importantly how can I fix it?
You're my hero!!!
Love ya!
Tammy
Tammy - Open your Control Panel and then Add/Remove programs, click on Avast to uninstall and select repair.
good luck your the best
Dave - Thank you
It's not easy recovering so much lost data, but it's slowly getting there lol
All the best
Colin
